IS Chemo Effective In The Age Of 63 For Breast Cancer

Mother diagonized with breast caricanoma right breast. Tested positive in Fish. What do you recommend to do doctor. I heard HeRceptin to be administered. But with her age of 63 what are the chances of chemo doing well. what should be the ideal way of treatment. What are the side effects of chemo.Chances of relapse?I can mail u the FISH Report tom.Meanwhile just let me know the way ahead.

hello dear.For sure your mother in this age have the chances of chemo doing well if she have not other severe health problems.Somme of chemo side effects are,blood disorders. Your bone marrow is the spongy tissue inside your bones. It makes new blood cells. Chemotherapy affects this process, so you might have side effects from having too few blood cells.Fatigue,nausea and vomiting.etc,but different drugs cause different side effects.Good luck
