I was diagnosised with Epilepsy 9 years ago, several grand mal seizures. I have no family history or exsisting condition that started them. I have had them under control for 8 years. Starting in Jan 2016 I starting have "semi-conscious" states. Vitals are normal, appears I am sleeping but am unwakable. When I do awake, 15min - 1 1/2hrs later, I am confused, disorientated and sometimes unable to move or speak. I have had three major memory losses lasting from 1 week to 1 month. I am now starting having the dropsies, blank stares, loss of time which last for 5 - 30 mins approximately. I have had normal results on eeg, mri, ct scan, blood tests. I do take medication - diligently. I have also been diagnosised with hemiplegic migraines as well as regular migraines. I have consulted with my nuerologist but soonest I can get in is Sept 7. I am on a fixed income and no car. My local hospital is terrible and next closest is 2hrs away. I just need to know 1. if i am causing lasting damage, 2. if its worth a trip to er (my doc doesnt have priledges and admission would be through er) and 3. is this even something nuerological? I am pretty well informed about my ailments and I am concerned its temporal lobe epilepsy and that the duration of the seizures are way too long. Thank you in advance for all of your help. I am at a real loss.
