I Was At The ER Last Night For An Allergic

I was at the ER last night for an allergic reaction to something. They didn't give me epinephrine and I didn't take my épi shot because I could still breathe, but my tongue was swollen and my throats was closing. I had taken 2 Benadryl prior to going and then they gave me 2 IV Benadryl doses along with steroids. Today my sugar is unusually high. I feel fine, but I'm Type 2 and have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Is it normal for the meds and level of doses of Benadryl to spike my sugar levels. Than ran a gamut of blood tests and didn't show any concern over my A1C or sugar levels either.
