I saw my Doc. on Thursday early morning about my diarrhea. This started one evening & it was explosive, & it hurt real bad. That was in Montana. I didn't make it to the stool. I had loose stools for the next several days. I saw my docs. PA & I did the stool test to rule out C-Diff. & other infections. That brings you to Monday this past week, & nothing is better. My doc's schedule was full but allow my seeing him this past thursday. His only thought was theomeprazole might be causing the problem. Well that was the last time I took it. I was doing ok on Friday but during the night my flare up reappeared. I had been taking anti-diaarrhea over the counter, & I was really not helpped. I had taken 4 1/2 pills to try & get this over. Next day (today) I awoke to having to use the toilet. I had 7 liquid bouts & I had more anti diarrhia. 4 1/2 pills again. This happened at my son's house, I drove home & made it to the stool again. All this is with very watery stools. Additionally I have been sleeping a lot. The regime is stool, sleep, stool, sleep. I didn't see my grandkids much, as I had planned. I have watched my intake of water, because I knew I was getting dehydrated. I soon will be 70. I did have 3 heart attacks about 6 years ago, & I now have two stents in. I had not been sleeping well, until my heart doc. sent me to the sleep doc. Steadily I have been gaining on more sleep with a c-pap. I am really tired of today's routine. My doc said he could send me to a specialist. At that point I had said no, let's try the discontinuing of the pill. I am now in the camp of seeing the specialist. What do you think?
