I Have Suddenly Lost Hearing In Left Ear And That

I have suddenly lost hearing in left ear and that side of head feels so 'stopped up' it is nerve-wracking. An MRI reveals anomalies in head re-bones, a cyst or tumor in temporal lobe area outside of brain and cavities that are supposed to be clear are not. This is my question- Could Meningococcal Meningitis (in a coma with 111-degree fever for 10 days as an infant in 1943 be a cause? Drs. say at my age of 74, it would not be a consideration) I have had many life-long troubling and life-altering health issues. Thank you.
