I Have Just Been Diagnosed With Microscopic Colitis (still Waiting

I have just been diagnosed with microscopic colitis (still waiting to find out which of the two varieties it is - which should be shortly. My symptoms of loose stools began the day after Christmas and I have 1 to 4 or 5 a day. I do take Immodium which seems to help curb the frequency. I have been advised that given the diagnosis of this (from a colonoscopy) that Endocort would be the drug of choice to take. I am also aware of a diet by a nutritionist from WI by the name of Karen Hurd that is said to help alleviate symptoms with no medication. Just trying to get another opinion as am reading that a corticosteroid might not be the first therapy of choice for my diagnosis. Thoughts?
