I have a question regarding the appendix, recent research has shown that parkinsons could potentially start in the appendix and that people that have had their appendix removed have a lower chance of developing the disease. I watched my grandad go through parkinsons and as anyone knows saying it's heart breaking is and understatement. Because of this I'm enquiring into pretty much anyway the reduce my risks of getting parkinsons and was wondering if it's actually possible to voluntarily have your appendix removed or do you physically have to have appendicitis to have it taken out?

Hello, a friend of mine called me from the hospital the other day. She asked me to research the question how infection spreads to the intestines after an appendix burst. This is what happened to her and she explained that the doctors removed a section of the small and large intestine. Also, they are testing to see if she has MRSA and D difficil. What would prompt them to look for those infections as well? So, two question for you to answer please.

Good day! My question is...I recently had a C-scan because of artery problems in my leg. The results came back explaining those problems. There was also a problem(?) with my appendix. There was mildly dilated appendix without periappendiceal inflammatory changes or definitive wall thickening. Could you break this down in English for me? thanks Bill Yandle
