I had a cyst removed from my mouth about ~3 weeks ago. A piece of bone was covering the area after the surgery but fell out ~ 1 week ago. 3 days ago I noticed more discharge than usual, and today i noticed the area smelled rather badly. I had a friend take a video of the area and it looked rather infected. The opening is about 1/3 the size of a penny. Could food have gotten inside? General infection. I'm going to see the doctor the next few days, should I use mouth wash? I'm not sure how serious this is.
