What Should I Do When I Cannot Bend My Knee While Walking As I Have Pain In The Front Of My Knee?

I cannot bend my knee when I walk as I have pain in the front of my knee I had meniscus surgery 4 years ago. when I have been on my feet at work for six hours I go to sit down and bend my knee it feels like someone is tearing it apart the pain is so intense. after I get home and sit down and bend it a few time it gets better. This is the only time I have pain in the knee.

Hello,

I recommend consulting again with your orthopedist for a physical exam and performing another knee joint MRI in order to exclude a possible new meniscal tear. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
