Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am very worried as aman that has an acquired brain injury and is a type 1 diabetic is being prescribed this medication because of aggression in a nursing home He had a huge bleed to the brain in 2006 was in a coma for several weeks He Is not schizophrenic or bi polar but is confused and frightened of unfamiliar surroundings I am his primary carer and friend of twenty years and have been looking after him at home for the last nine years Is this medication safe for him? I do not experience this at all when he is with us?? He is there for respite only He started yelling and raised his walking stick after he had lunch. His Doctor will not attend him at the nursing home. He Is also on heart medication and insulin. Please can you give me some useful advice ? thanks
