How Will A Torn Clitoris Heal?

Hello I had a baby 9 months ago and he was born naturally, a very quick birth. This lead to a tear to my clitorus. The midwife decided it was best to let it heal naturally. Since then i still have issues. When aroused it hurts and very sensitive where it has scarred. Is there anything that can be done with scar tissue in such a sensitive area? Thankyou.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
hello,
well i believe you had precipitate labour and had traumatic delivery with trauma to clitoris. it should have been stitched at the time of delivery itself , now the healing which had occurred with secondary healing and fibrosis is known to crate a constant stretch towards the center giving you constant irritation and sensitivity. also when aroused, it tends to increase in size and then it hurts again due to stretch. presently you should just apply petroleum jelly over it such that any stretch or dryness wont make it painful to reaction. no form of surgical intervention to be planned for next 6 months atleast from delivery.
regards
