How To Withdraw From Lexipro Without Side Effects?

I have been taking lexipro 20mg for4 years. My doctor gave me a new Rx today, paroxetine 20mg. I am, of course, to no longer take lexipro. My concern is stopping lexipro suddenly and replacing it with paroxetine 20mg. Could withdrawal from lexipro cause a problem? Thank you, Ruth Richie

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
It depends from man to man and on period and dosage of your previous medication. But in general,it is recommended that lexapro is reduced gradually over the 2 months period and each eek dosage should be reduced for 15%.

I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
