How To Wash Down A Piece Of Salad Stuck In Throat?

Hello doc,
I ate a chicken cesear salad and menawhile i felt as if a piece of salad is stuck in my throat. I can breathe and swallow fine, but i cant seem to wash it down. I've tried eating something else but nothing.. I saw on internet that it would eventually go away, but is there anything faster?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, usually the feeling of something stuck up in the throat is usually due to an injury/abrasion caused by food bolus and less commonly due to actual sticking of food bolus. Use of proton pump inhibitors, antacids with local anaesthetic and a mild analgesic should help. In case the problem persists or increases, you may need to undergo an endoscopic examination.Regards
