How To Use Tampons?

ok so i hate wearing pads, have been researching and i am old enough and able to do it, but i cant get it in, i bought teh smallest size i just tense up, any tips to un-tense and make it slide in easier?

instead of sitting on the toilet, stand up and squat with your knees bent and legs spread apart. Make sure you push it in as far as you can while still holding onto the applicator -- or else you will feel it when you walk or sit. Change it at least every 6-8 hours, or if it slips out or leaks. I'm not sure what kind you bought, but there are different types. The plastic applicator ones are easiest for beginners. The cardboard ones are a little dry. The plain ones without applicators get your fingers messy, but they are more 'green' for the environment! It took me several tries, too.
