Hi,

To postpone periods you can take the prescribed tab. Norethisterone 5 mg started 3 days before your due date and continued till the date you want to postpone your cycle (you don't want periods). And after stopping the tablets you will get periods within 3 days.

Once on the tablet symptoms like abdominal cramp, nausea, headache, tender breast, fatigue can be experienced which are the effects of hormonal changes in the body and it might affect your next cycle. In your case as there was only spotting you can take it in higher doses and but for better results it should be taken 3 days prior to cycle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
