Medical Termination of Pregnancy by use of medicines is effective and safe up to 9 weeks of pregnancy. However, these medicines should not be taken as over the counter medicines. They need to be prescribed by an Obstetrician and should be taken under an Obstetrician's supervision and instructions lest the danger of complications like incomplete abortion, bleeding, infection etc.
