How To Treat Urinary Tract Infection?

I believe I have a UTI. I m CONSTANTLY going & hardly anything comes out. Also, quite a bit of blood in my urine. Until I see the doctor, I realize that I should drink plenty of water & urinate frequently, is there anything else I can do to help treat the infection while I wait? Thanks.

Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have read your whole query and understand the concern.

If you have been already diagnosed as urinary tract infection whether by blood-urine investigations or by clinical examination by doctor then you need not to go for any investigations further.

If you have not done then you must do all the necessary blood and urine tests.

Ultrasound of KUB region can also be done with full bladder to rule out any other bladder pathology but it should be done only after physician's advice.

Meanwhile, you can take over the counter pain killers like dicofenac 50 mg or paracetamol 500 mg and drink plenty of water orally.

Take liquid citralka 2TSF three times daily if you have burning micturition.

Therefore,You should see a physician or urologist who will know about all the tests and can prescribe you appropriate full course antibiotic (levofloxacin 750 mg is best for UTI if not resistance) with other symptomatic treatment like pain killers,anti-inflammatory with syrup citralka 2TSF three times daily with plenty of water intake as I said earlier.

Hope this detailed explanation will be helpful.

Regards,
I find this answer helpful
