How To Treat The White Pimples Around The Bum?

My daughter (4) has white pimples around her bum, ranging in size from pin head to about the end of a pencil. She sais her bum was itchy.. and wanted me to apply zinc bum cream. Her bum area was clean I washed it with water and a cloth, and noticed the white bumps.. any ideas?

Hi,

You daughter may be having keratosis pilaris on buttock area. It is a common genetic follicular condition. It is a harmless condtion and may remain for long time. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Keratolytic oint containing salicylic acid, retinoic acid, urea or lactic acid may be applied to improve the condition. Oral vitamin A cap may be given till good result is achieved. Topical immunomodulators such as pimecrolimus or tacrolimus may be used. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
