How To Treat Stomach Cramps And Diarrhea In Children?
My daughter 7 years old has been complaining of griping stomach cramps on & off for 3 days, she had a fever at the start but not for the last 18 hours - she has been sick once ( after drinking water too fast) & now has green bubbly diahorea - could this be an appendicitis?
I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.
Dehydrating with plain water can cause low sodium and other electrolyres imbalance in the blood that can lead to other problems. It would be best to rehydrate your child, if she can drink orally, with Oral Rehydrating Solutions which contains electrolytes too. Also cramps and fever with diarrhea could means infectious diarrhea. I strongly suggest to do a workup for that and consult with ur baby's peadiatrician for antibiotic treatment. It is very important to treat infectious diarrhea aggressively as it can lead to dehydration and that ll be dangrous for the baby.
I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.
Wish you the best of health.
Regards.
