How To Treat Stomach Bloating And Rumbling Caused Due To Gastritis?
Hello I went to the doctors about 3 weeks ago with stomach complaints, they said I had gastritis and gave me tablets to take for a month, I am 3 weeks in and although I feel better after eating, the burning feeling and diarrhoea has gone I still feel bloated a lot of the time specially in the morning when I wake up and still get a lot of grumbling and sometimes cramps and a dull ache, why is this?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
The symptoms you're experiencing from gastritis can take time to heal fully. It's also possible that there is another underlying issue causing the bloating and discomfort. It's best to follow up with your doctor to discuss your symptoms and make sure that your treatment plan is appropriate for your condition.
They may want to do some additional tests or adjust your treatment plan. In the meantime, try avoiding foods that may worsen your symptoms, such as spicy or fatty foods, and try to eat smaller, more frequent meals. Drinking water and staying hydrated can also help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
