How To Treat Stiff/sore Neck?

Hello Dr. Grief, I was in a car accident last Friday. I was stopped and rear ended by a car going ~20mph (not really sure because they were braking). Anyway I was fine the day of the accident, but over the weekend I have developed a really stiff/sore neck and I feel tired and easily fatigued. I m in good shape and haven t tired this easily before.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

if symptoms persists better to consult a neurologist and get to rule out conditions like cervical spondylitis.

Detailed evaluation is required including MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
