Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is there anything I can give my 9.5 year old daughter!? She s complaining of soreness in breast area ( breast growth) and very defiant at times, as well as sassy, mouthy, and disobedient. She also complains of insomnia. I believe these are hormonal changes going on. Thank you.
As per my clinical experience, the soreness of breast are in relation with development of breast bud at the age of 9 and half year. Usual issue of disobedient and insomnia are not part of this cycle and age specific childhood psychology, school surroundings or home atmosphere may be contributing factors in the overall development of child.
I would like to address her issue with physical examination, detailed history and interrogation regarding all aspects of her cognitive behavior and development to figure out possible management guidelines. Till that time, I would like to quote that engaging her more in meditations and deep breathing exercises with YOGA will change her mind attitude tremendously over period of time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
