How To Treat Soreness And Bruise On Armpits And Chest Caused Due To Insect Bite?

Got some bug bites and they feel like bruises. Skin is very sore where most bites are. Bite locations are armpits, and chest. These occurred while staying in a hotel. There is no itchiness to go with the bites. Did not notice the bites until later in the day and so I was unable to determine what the source pest was. Bites appear red but do not have a darker spot in the center that I am able to see. Bites are not linear in formation.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have soreness and bruise on armpits and chest caused due to insect bite . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but in your case the symptoms are due to allergic reaction to insect bite as you mention in query . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to affected skin to reduce the itchiness and inflammation , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . If the condition get worse the consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may give adrenaline short to prevent anaphylactic shock like condition along with corticosteroid ointment and immunosuppressants .
