General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. The treatment for pain following pinched nerve consists of- -Rest to the part./ hot or cold compresses./ Tablet ibuprofen/ steroids pills or injectables ( local/ general). - Physiotherapy under expert advise helps. - Surgery is the last resort. * You do not have relief with ibuprofen pills. You should start with rest ( avoid painful movements, try hot/ cold compresses. Add steroid pills with advise of your family physician.. till you can meet the orthopedic surgeonwho will eavluate your case & advise specific treatment. Thanks.
