How To Treat Recurring Fits After Having A Stroke On Left Hand Side?
Hi Doc.A friend of mine is 43 yrs old and had a first stroke on the 27th December 2014.On the 6th August 2015 had a first fit and again on the 10th August.The doc put him on epileum tablets for fits.The stroke was on the left hand side therefore effected the right side of the brain.He is going for an EEG on the 01st Sept 2015.Can he recover from having these fits.Thank you
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, underlying cause of convulsion is matters here if it is due to some cerebral lesion then it need to be managed accordingly, if this is the late on set of grand mal seizure then he need to have medicine for long time in absent of these disease differential diagnosis would be the next step then, hope this information may helps, take care and have a nice day.
