How To Treat Perforated Ear Drum And Loss Of Hearing On Right Side?

I have a sever perforated ear drum and no hearing on right side and only 40% left of hearing on the right and dropping... Surgery is not an option and hearing aids either at this point... Fighting to get disability benefits and so far no luck... Your opinion???

Thanks for writing in HCM.
Perforated ear drum needs to be repaired by an operation called 'tympanoplasty'. You need to undergo this despite it does not improve much in your hearing. It is because you need to prevent the risk of repeated infection of middle ear, which may spread to the inner ear, mastoid and brain. By this operation, you will get a dry ear free from infections. Also, if the damage is too much, then it is very difficult to repair.
For improvement in hearing, you can use suitable hearing aid. That should be a solution of disability. Kindly consult ENT surgeon at the earliest.
