Hi, Thanks for writing in HCM. Perforated ear drum needs to be repaired by an operation called tympanoplasty . You need to undergo this despite it does not improve much in your hearing. It is because you need to prevent the risk of repeated infection of middle ear, which may spread to the inner ear, mastoid and brain. By this operation, you will get a dry ear free from infections. Also, if the damage is too much, then it is very difficult to repair. For improvement in hearing, you can use suitable hearing aid. That should be a solution of disability.
