How To Treat Painful Skin Near Vaginal Entrance?

I have a piece of skin right at the entrance of my vagina. It is flesh colored. It only hurts when I touch it and at the beginning of intercourse. What is it?? There is a chance I may be pregnant, but not sure if that would matter. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Sometimes the posterior vaginal wall can be thickened and presents like protrusion of the tissue. This is more common in parous women. Any minor cuts in the area can lead to inflammation and/ or infection and can lead to pain. The other possibilities are inclusion cysts or cervical polyps. By the clinical examination only the exact cause of the problem can be identified and treated.

Better to consult your gynecologist once and get examined. In case of infective pathology, local and systemic antibiotics can help in relieving the pain. Either inclusion cysts or polyps may need to be removed. Lubricant gel can help in relieving the pain during intercourse.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
