How To Treat Painful Abscess On Breast?

Hi, I am currently nursing my 11 month old. I noticed what appears to be a small abscess about 2 weeks ago on one of my breasts. It was a little painful when I would touch it at first, but now is not causing much pain. Will this clear up on it s own? Is there a such thing as a pain-free abscess or is this something else?

Hello dear user!
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns!
Thank you for sharing them on healthcaremagic.
I think that is not an abscess. If it was that, you would on fevers all the time. It would require surgical drainage to be healed. Since you have not fevers, it is not likely to be an abscess. It might be a milk cyst, which are often during breastfeeding. It generally is self healed by the days. If it remains for a long time and causes you pain or other problems, please consult a doctor to see it from a closer view.
I hope this answer was helpful to you!
