How To Treat Pain, Numbness And Tingling Sensation In Lower Back And Leg?

I have pain, numbness and tingling sensation going down the lower back region and down my right leg just to about the back of my rt knee region. I work at a hospital and have to do a lot of bending and lifting with patients. is this a pinched nerve and what can I do about this problem.

Hi.

It sounds like an issue with the sciatic nerve and yes it could be due to a spinal issue, due to the heavy lifting every now and then that may have resulted in a herniation, etc. But I cannot be sure of it and you may require an MRI of your spine to confirm the same. But for now, try to avoid lifting and also use any NSAID that suits you (e.g. ibuprofen).
