Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello! I had a herniated disc which had my sciatic nerve severely pinched causing extreme pain. I had the disc repaired in January and then I developed a fluid leak and had that fixed in May. I ve been doing very well and the extreme pain down my leg is gone. However, I ve recently started having some pain after sitting and sometimes at night depending on the way I lay. Is that just the nerve still repairing? It is not nearly as several as before just a dull pain. Thanks, Alesia
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you had herniated disc for which you was operated. Operation was successful. Your severe pain has gone. But now you have dull pain. This pain is due to weakness of your muscle and bone. Its treatment is back exercises, Mecoblamine and analgesics such as ibuprofen. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
