How To Treat Pain In Head As Hit My Head Long Back?

Hit my head at work 4 weeks ago, reported immediately but didn't think necessary to see doctor. Went to nurse about 11 days later because still had bump and dull ache. She ask basic questions, did you loose concouisness, blurry vision, blinding headache, etc..? All, no. But, 4 weeks later some days the bump/area hurts worse than others and I am getting concerned. My head (back of head, to left, bottom of center) still aches. How long should this persist and when do I need to be really concerned? Nurse at work just said come back if it still bothers you. Bit of a vague answer to me.

Any major head injury should show its symptoms( loss of consciousness, blurring of vision, vomiting, seizures, muscle weakness, abnormal behaviour, severe headache) within 48 hrs.
If u dont have any such symptoms then do not worry.
The persisting pain is due to injury to the scalp soft tissue which will subside in a week provided its not a open wound which is infected.
take painkiller ( tab.Diclofenac 50mg twice a day).
If its a open wound with infection start on oral antibiotics ( like tab. cefexime 500 mg twice) and consult a doctor.
Do check for neck to see any point of pain or tenderness.
