How To Treat Intermittent Pain In Upper Part Of Stomach And Under The Breast?

Have strong pain in my upper left part of stomach, very high right under breast . Comes and goes but increasing in both severity and episodes. Have IBS heart disease polymyalgia rheumatica etc. etc. many meds. have no idea what this is and would prefer not to bother my doctor on weekend. do you think something that can wait? I think it might be meds because have a lot of nausea for a long time but my Doctors know that. Also taking Rabeprazole 20 mg. usually 1 time but should 2 times. Thanks for any info, tired of letting everyone down because i feel so bad.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
Your symptoms are more suggestive of GERD ( gastroesophageal reflux disease ).
You are taking many drugs, this is the likely cause for GERD.
And in GERD, along with drugs, you need to follow these lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food.
2. Avoid stress and tension.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Go for walk after meals.
5. Keep 2 - 3 pillows under head in bed to prevent reflux.
6. Avoid alcohol and smoking if you have these habits.
7. Loose weight if you are having obesity.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
