Hi,

Follow your doctor's advice when it comes to treating an injured hernia. Depending on the severity of the injury, you may need to avoid certain activities, including strenuous exercise or heavy lifting, until the hernia has had a chance to heal. If masturbating is not causing pain, it is likely safe to continue doing so. However, it is important to listen to your body and avoid any activity that causes discomfort or pain in the affected area.

If you experience any new or worsening symptoms, such as severe pain, swelling, or vomiting, it is important to seek medical attention right away, as these can be signs of a more serious condition. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to repair a hernia that is causing significant pain or discomfort. Your doctor can guide the best course of treatment based on your circumstances.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
