How To Treat Eye Infection While On Ofloxacin Oph With Elevated Eye Discomfort?

My wife is taking ofloxacin oph for an eye infection. This is day two and she is having increased discomfort in the eye. Her eye doctor will not be available until Monday. Should she continue to use the drops, reduce the use, or stop using them completely?

Hello
It seems from the history that your wife is having eye infection in the form of conjunctivitis and she is on treatment by ofloxacin eye drops.
If the infection is not responding to treatment then you can use second antibiotic like tobramycin and decongestant eye drops for symptomatic relief.
Later you can consult your eye doctor.

Thank you
