How To Treat Dizziness And Heaviness In Head Caused After Jet Lag?
Hi we came back from Texas to Israel 9 days ago,so I thought I was jet lagged,But I still feel light headed, blurry,my head feels heavy and I only feel good when I lie down.My head feels as if it is swaying or like there is something moving inside my head. It's hard for me to concentrate and drive.Could I still be suffering from jet lag or should I see my family doctor
Thanks for asking a question from HCM. In a lot of individuals symptoms of jet lag can persist for more than a week. These symptoms result in most individuals because of poor non-refreshing sleep. The symptoms you are having like lightheadedness, heaviness in head, dizziness etc are most likely due to jet lag. Still I will advise you to get your blood pressure checked to rule out cardiac cause of these symptoms.
For symptoms of jet lag drugs like Melatonin or Ramelteon etc can be used. These drugs will help to correct the altered sleep rhythm and will surely help in your symptoms. Visit a doctor for prescription of these medicines.
Thanks, Hope this helps. Take care
