How To Treat Dandruff Causing Itchy Scalp And White Scale Like Formation?

hi doctor, i have been having an itchy scalp having daddruff that eventually create whittish scales. i have tried washing with home made products but after 2-3 days the itchiness comes back. i cant sleep at night coz i feel like scratching all through of which i end up breaking the skin. what should i do?

Dandruff is a chronic disease cause of which is uncertain.If such a patient cmes to me i will advise Ketocnazole 2% lotionto be used as shampoo twice a week hydrcortisone cream 1% to be applied twice a day.As it is thought to be a infective and fungal mixed infection.If i have to treat as it is a life long disease i willalso advise and give a course of Tab amoxy cv 625 twice a day for 10 daysand Tab Terbinafine 250mg one tab daily for three months multivitamins iron. Tab mebryl twice a day.Use keticonazole shampoo for many months. Comb should be boiled when it is relieved to prevent relapse
