How To Treat Abdominal Cramp?

Hi My husband is having vague abdominal cramping and gurgling .He had nausea about 9 am and 2 normal BM s this am prior to the nausea. His breath smells foul almost like stool.The cramping started early this am . He ate breakfast at 7 am and fluids only since noon.Should we be concerned about bowel obstruction? Thankyou

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your husband having gurgling and pain in abdomen, foetor- breath smelling like feces, nausea and so on.
This is certainly a thing of concern.
The foetor meaning breath smelling like feces along with gurgling and pain indicates that there may be an intestinal obstruction.
I would advise you the following:
Go to ER.
X-ray of abdomen in standing position is a simple test to see if there is obstruction or not.
Tests of blood: CBC, electrolytes, kidney function
If there is an obstruction, your husband needs Admission, conservative management in the form of intravenous fluids, antibiotic and supportive management.
If this fails, he may need surgery to correct treatment.
