Erosion of the
cervix can be due to different causes, the important of them being chronic infection, oestrogen treatment, increased oestrogen levels in conditions like
pregnancy, contaceptive pills, etc, and
cervical cancer.
The infections are treated with antibiotics and if unrelieved may require
cauterization.
High levels of oestrogen giving rise to eosion is usually ignored unless it is problematic.
However, your erosion is very big which bleeds on touch. This should not be taken lightly as this is a typical symptom of cervical cancer.
I would advice you to continue visiting the gynaecolist, get the
biopsy done if adviced and make a final diagnosis. If it does not turn out to be cancer, which is very likely considering your age, then simpler measures like antibiotics or cauterization will give you relief. But if it turns out to be cancer, you will have to undergo complete treatment for cervical cancer.
