How To Treat A Head Injury?

I was getting a lighter out of my friends car and when i turned around i hit the side of my head reallly hard and it swelled up a little bit not to bad, my eye is starting to get black to... How long should i wait before i go to bed this happend 2 hours ago?

Head injury should not cause laboured breathing unless it is a severe injury.
If you have not lost consciousness with the head injury and did not have bleeding from the nose or from the ear or clear watery fluid coming from the nose or ear then it was most likely not a serious head injury.
If however you had any of the above mentioned symptoms then you need to have a CT scan of the brain done to make sure anything serious is ruled out.
