How To Straighten Bow Legs?

I always crossed my legs while sitting in chair since I was a kid 'till now (elementary to high school). I realized my legs was bend a little. I have an open legs between my two legs. My cousin is a virgin she got discriminated by this problem. I cried because of what I heard. We felt sad and angry to those who judge without knowing the reason. I always crossed my legs everytime I'm in chair-always in school. Is this can affect the shape of legs?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern.

1. Bow legs [genu varum] is a condition where feet and ankle are close to each other and knees are far apart.

2. You need to consult an Orthopedic Surgeon to know more about the treatment and management options since osteoarthritis can develop in the medial side of your knee causing swelling, pain and restriction in range of motion.

3. Pilates, massage therapy, leg exercises,Vitamin D, medical braces, while surgery will be an ideal method to correct the deformity
