How To Remove Tonsil Stone Caught Up In Epiglottis Causing Extreme Pain?

I have a huge tonsil stone caught in my epiglottis. I have seen an ENT and they can t remove it because my gag reflexes are so bad. I have tried gargling, using a water pick, using a Q-tip, coughing, EVERYTHING. I am at my wits end. My entire throat aches, and my ears, head, and jaw as well. PLEASE help!

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A tonsil stone stuck up in epiglottis can cause choking and can be dangerous.
Understandably, removal of tonsil stone without anesthesia will lead to strong gag reflex.
Thus, the stone needs to be removed under anesthesia.
I suggest you to consult your ENT specialist and get the stone removed under anesthesia.
Local anesthesia is sufficient to remove the stone but it depends on the clinical status at the time of removal.
The stone in situ for long period of time can be harmful and can lead to choking, damage to surrounding tissues due to pressure and can edema of surrounding structures.
