How To Remove Lump On Tongue?

I bit my tongue recently and now I found I have a kind of lump where I bit it. I don't know if I managed to bite my tongue there because there was a lump on it, or that the lump formed after I bit it. It does not hurt now, but does not seem to be going away as fast as I would have expected...

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms a lump over the tongue after tongue bite can be a hematoma or an inflammatory swelling secondary to injury..
Nothing to worry as both these conditions will resolve gradually on its own..
Although these kind of lumps can take a comparatively longer time to resolve but will resolve for sure..
You can do alternate warm and cool packs over the lump for faster resolution..

In case if the lump does not show any signs of reduction in size in next 15 days you should consult an oral physician and get evaluated and if required he can advise you to get a biopsy done..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
