How To Reduce Stomach Pain Below The Rib Cage?

For the past day and a half I have been having horrible stomach pains that come in waves...feels like my intestines are tightening up like contractions...just below my rib cage. Pain is horrible but then subsides a little until the next attack. Hurts instantly after I eat anything too. Is there anything I can take to make it feel better?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. The pain on right side below rib cage is most likely from gall stones. So it is better to have an ultrasound examination to rule out that. Avoid fatty foods, cakes, yellow of eggs. Taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole is helpful to some extent. Applying hot water bags also is helpful for pain relief.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
