How To Reduce Headaches After An Injury?

I swam into the side of a stone pool and banged my head. I was doing a lap in the pool and I couldn t see and I swam head on into the wall of the pool. I have been having headaches for days since and this just made it worse. Can you provide any help or advice? I took ibuprofen but that doesn t seem to be helping.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern.
continuous head aches after a head injury can point to an internal problem.
i would suggest a ct brain for you to rule out any internal bleeds.
if you had any episodes of vomitings or ear, nose bleeds or any loss of consciousness after the injury kindly get the ct brain done immediately.
if everything is normal the head ache can be managed with anti inflammatory drugs. feel free to ask further queries. thanks for choosing HCM
