Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Try to breast feed when he is hungry. If giving formula feeds, always breast feed before giving formula, and top up with formula only if needed. Also, we have to correct any underlying issues like inverted nipples or nipple cracks in mother or nasal block in baby. Breast feeding should be attempted in a relaxed and peaceful state, in a calm and quiet area, in sitting position. If you still find it difficult, kindly take the help of a lactation councillor (will available at major maternity hospitals) rather than pediatricians.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
