How To Maintain Healthy Blood Pressure Without Medications?

I just did a 24 hour blood pressure check. I am a 5' 3", 55 y.o white female and active (run, bike, tennis etc), and am approx 10-15 lbs overweight (according to me!) and in good health. The BP results were gave an avg of 132/76. It appears this is a high normal, correct? I should be able to reduce my systolic by diet and exercise, and avoid medication, correct?

1) DO A DAILY CARDIAC WORK UP OF 20MIN OR BRISK WALKING FOR 20MIN

2) AVOID SALT INTAKE TO LESS THEN 4G PER DAY

3) AVOID OILY FOOD

4) AVOID SMOKING AND EXCESSIVE DRINKING

THESE MEASURES WILL HELP YOU PREVENT DEVELOPMENT OF HYPERTENSION
