How To Keep Ice Pack On Swollen Knee Post Knee Surgery?

My Daughter just had knee surgery. We have been keeping it iced, but it only gets cold around the knee and not in the middle where it is swollen the most. She as an ice pack machine plus ones we keep in the freezer also. Can you give me an answer to this problem? Thank you.

I am not quite sure I have the problem. Specifically what is a knee and what is the middle. In any case, small plastic bag tightly sealed or small ice pack can be ACE WRAPPED into place.
