How To Get Rid Of Random Dark Mark Around The Back Of My Neck ?
i m 17, female, i am very clean but i have a dirt mark going around the back of my neck in the crease of my neck... i shower every day and i have tried washing this brown-ish colored mark off. does anybody know how to get rid of this, without getting plastic surgery? lol.
This condition is called PSEUDO-ACANTHOSIS NIGRICANS.In this one gets dark linear creases around the neck .They are asymptomatic and causes only cosmetic distress most of the times.Systemic involvement if any is only related to gastro-intestinal problem and is rare.
One basic cause or association is obesity .
There are very few options apart from reducing weight.
One can apply tretinoin cream at night and a sunscreen in t he day time. One of the latest medicine used with variable result is metformin (the one used for diabetes).
So,you should consult a good dermatologist who can investigate your problem properly and treat you best.
