How To Determine A Heart Attack In A Person With Kidney Cancer?
my husband is 58 and is having chest pains. Several months ago he had complete tests and they found nothing wrong with his heart. He just took a pill for indigestion. He said these aren t the same chest pains he had then. He has stage 4 kidney cancer and was at the Cleveland Clinic today for scans. What else should I look for to determine a heart attack?
A heart attack would typically present with severe unrelenting central chest pain that it is usually described as tight or heavy. It may be associated with shortness of breath, palpitations, diaphoresis (excess sweating), weakness, clammy sensation.
In some persons the symptoms are not typical.
Chest pain can come from any structure in the chest from the skin inwards. This means that it can originate from the skin, the muscles, the bones, the esophagus, the lungs.
If the heart has been ruled out then other causes of chest pain would need to be considered.
I hope this helps
