Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, after about lunch everyday, I have a burping issue. Everytime I inhale a large amount of air, on the exhale I burp. This has been happening since I was thirteen. Any idea what the problem could be, and how to prevent it from embarrassing me further?
As per your query excessive burping after eating could be due to accumulation of gas or bloating along with excessive acid production in body. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as Avoid carbonated drinks and f ever you drink use straw. Drink lots of water to maintain adequate hydration. Avoid hot, sharp spicy foods and take soft, plain, non-spicy foods. If pulses and sprouts cause burping in your case avoid them. Take antacids after meals. If symptoms keeps on persisting, visit Gastroenterologist once for proper clinical examination. Go for Upper GI biopsy and endoscopy.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
